Frequently asked questions

How do I convert a JSON array to CSV?

Paste an array of objects and click Convert. Column headers are derived from object keys.

What JSON structure is required for CSV conversion?

The input must be a JSON array where each item is a flat object with consistent keys.

Is this tool free?

Yes. JSON Toolbox is completely free with no sign-up, no usage limits, and no hidden fees.

Is my JSON data safe? Is it uploaded to a server?

Your data never leaves your browser. All parsing, formatting, and conversion runs locally on your device — nothing is sent to any server.

Which browsers are supported?

All modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. No plugins or extensions required.

What is the maximum file size?

Files over 2 MB may feel slow; files over 10 MB are blocked. For very large payloads, use a local CLI tool instead.

Does it support JSON5, comments, or trailing commas?

Only standard JSON (RFC 8259) is supported. JSON5 features like comments and trailing commas are not accepted.
